Transfering a Domain to Us

To transfer a domain on to our servers you will need the following DNS information:

The Internet needs to know where your domain name is and which server it is "pointing to". The Domain Name Server address (DNS) is the flag that indicates the location of a domain name on the World Wide Web.

Once a DNS has been altered to transfer the location of a domain name, it can take upto 7 days before the Internet recognises the new location. However, typically it takes 48 hours.

To transfer an existing domain to us you will need to contact your current hosting company informing them that you wish to transfer the domain and supplying them with the above DNS information.

Re-registrations

All SO HOsts domain names are registered for a full two years. However, once this period has completed we will inform you and ask you to re-register for a further two years. If you do not require the domain name you do not have to re-register it.

Transfering Domain Names from Us

If you require to transfer a domain name from SO Hosts to another service please access your account via your Customer Login and complete the form provied. We will action any transfer without question within 24 hours
