We guarantee to reply to any support question within 24 hours but strive to reply within 8 hours via using support@sohosts.com.

Privacy Policy

We have a strict policy of not passing your personal details on to anyone for marketing purposes. However, we do pass you details on to suppliers involved in providing service or products you have ordered - such as domain naming registrars. This is necessary to complete your order successfully.

The personal data you provide us is held in a database located in the UK. We take all reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is kept securely.

We use cookies solely for tracking your order. No cookies are used to obtain personal information. If the use of cookies is disabled on your browser, you will not be able to order any services from us.

You can update all the personal information you provide us via your customer login.

Server Use

Hosting account holders are not permitted to resell, store or give away the web-hosting services we provide to other parties. Web hosting services are defined as allowing a separate, third party to host content on the owner's web site. Exceptions to this include ad banners, classified ads, and personal ads.

SO Hosts reserves the right to suspend or cancel a customer's access to any or all services provided by SO Hosts when SO Hosts decides that the account has been inappropriately used.

SO Hosts reserves the right to refuse service and/or access to its servers to anyone.

SO Hosts do not allow any of the following content to be stored on its servers:

• Illegal Material - This includes copyrighted works, commercial audio, video, or music files, and any material in violation of any Federal, State or Local regulation.
  
• Adult Material - Includes all pornography, erotic images, or otherwise lewd or obscene content. The designation of "adult material" is left entirely to the discretion of SO Hosts.
  
• Warez - Includes pirated software, ROMS, emulators, phreaking,hacking, password cracking. IP spoofing, etc., and encrypting of any of the above. Also includes any sites which provide "links to" or "how to" information about such material.

SO Hosts are not responsible for the running of scripts you install on your server space and cannot provide technical support for them.

High bandwidth Usage

SO Hosts offers an unlimited data transfer allocation per month per account.

In rare cases, SO Hosts may find a customer to be using server resources to such an extent that he or she may jeopardise server performance and resources for other customers. In such instances, the account holder will be contacted in order to discuss the situation. If no arrangement can be reached, SO Hosts reserves the right to terminate the account giving one months notice.

Payment Policies

All accounts are set up on a 12 month pre-pay basis for hosting and 24 months for domain names. All pricing is guaranteed for the term of pre-payment.

New hosting account holders will receive a 30 day money back guarantee giving a full refund if you are not completely satisfied for any reason.

The customer is responsible for all money owed on the account from the time it was established to the time that the customer requests SO Hosts to terminate service.

payment can be made in UK Sterling, Euros or US Dollars.

SO Hosts reserves the right to change prices at any time.

SO Hosts is an environmentally friendly company and follows a 'paperless office policy'. Therefore, no bills or invoices will be sent by regular mail.

Account Renewal

You will be contacted via email 28 days prior to the end of the 12 month pre-payment term giving you the option to cancel. If SO Hosts does not receive a cancellation notification 7 days prior to your account renewal date then your account will be renewed automatically and payment taken via your credit or debit card.

If payment is not received 7 days after your renewal date your account will be suspended.

Cancellation

SO Hosts reserves the right to cancel service at any time. All fees paid in advance of cancellation will be prorated and paid by SO Hosts if SO Hosts institutes its right of cancellation.

If cancellation is caused by customers violation of these policies, then no refund is due.

You can cancel service any time. However, notification must be given 7 days prior to to the end of the 12 month hosting period. Failure to notify will result in automatic renewal of the service.

Domain Names

SO Hosts will;

1. Consider all submitted requests for domain name registration and accept or reject them in accordance with guidelines set by Nominet UK. Upon acceptance of registration requests submit names for registration and make full registration upon receipt of payment.
   
   
2. The domain name registration period runs for two years from the date of registration. After this time period has lapsed registration renewal may be made for periods of two years indefinitely, upon receipt of payment of renewal fees.
   
   
3. Once a registration request has been completed, refunds will be given at the discretion of SO Hosts.
   
   
4. SO Hosts reserve the right to halt the registration of a domain name if outstanding monies are owed to them by the registrant.
   
   
5. SO Hosts process domain registration requests on a first come, first served basis. Until the registrant receives confirmation of registration from SiteOne there is no guarantee that the domain name requested will be registered.
   
   
6. SO Hosts may cancel or halt domain name registrations under certain circumstances, including; where completing the registration puts SiteOne in conflict with guidelines set by Nominet UK ; where SiteOne believe that there may be conflicts of rights to a particular name.
   
   
7. SO Hosts does not accept any responsibility for the use of registered domain names especially where there may be conflict over rights to ownership.
   
   
8. SO Hosts will do all they can to ensure that the registrant's details are submitted correctly during registration. SiteOne will not be liable under any circumstances for loss of profit suffered by the registrant.
   
   
9. The registrant agrees that all details submitted in respect of a domain name registration are true and correct and any alterations made after the initial registration will be also.
   
   
10. The registrant makes certain to SO Hosts that the registration of a domain name and the way in which it is used (directly or indirectly) does not infringe the legal rights of any third party.
    
    
11. The registrant indemnifies SiteOne from any legal proceedings and costs that arise as a result of the registration of a domain name.
    
    
12. Data submitted by the registrant pertaining to the registration of a domain name may be available to other organisations and members of the public.
    
    
13. SO Hosts reserve the right to make alterations to the terms and conditions of domain name registration at any time.
    
    
14. Transfers and renewals of domain names will be made under SO Hosts terms and conditions of domain name registration in force at that time of renewal or transfer.
    
    
15. These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between SO Hosts and the registrant of the domain name. These terms and conditions depose all prior agreements whether verbal or in written.

Indemnification

Customer agrees that it shall defend, indemnify, save and hold SO Hosts harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including reasonable legal fees asserted against SO Hosts, its agents, its customers, officers and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by customer, its agents, employees or assigns.

Customer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless SO Hosts against liabilities arising out of;

1. any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with SO Hosts' server;
2. any material supplied by customer infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party;
3. copyright infringement and
4. any defective products sold to customer from SO Hosts' server.

Disclaimer

SO Hosts will not be responsible for any damages your business may suffer.

SO Hosts makes no direct warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services we provide. SO Hosts disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, non-deliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions caused by SO Hosts and its employees.

SO Hosts reserves the right to revise its policies at any time.
